Homefold
Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
Homefold has no account, no sign-in and no password, and no server of ours keeps anything of yours. Your progress stays on your phone. The one thing that leaves it is counting how the game is played, which you can switch off, and it has its own section below.
What stays on your device
- Your progress: the pages you have folded, your best number of moves, your gold stamps, the hints you have, and your daily page streak.
- Today's daily page, which the game makes on your phone from the date.
- Your settings: music, sounds, haptics, and whether play stats are on.
- Whether you have bought the whole book, as the App Store reported it.
None of this is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Purchases
The whole book is bought, and restored, entirely through the App Store. We never see your payment details. All Homefold sees is what the store tells it: whether this Apple Account owns the book.
Play stats
Homefold counts how the game is played so we can see where pages are too hard, where people stop, and whether the game is worth buying. This is the only thing that leaves your phone.
Each event is a short name with a few numbers attached, and nothing else. For example: a page was started or finished (its number, how many moves it took, whether a hint was used), a hint was used, the book's card was shown, a purchase was started, completed, cancelled or failed, the app was opened. Each event also says which version of the app and of iOS sent it, the phone model, and whether it came from a test build.
- There is no account and no name. Events carry a random number Homefold makes up the first time it opens. It is not an advertising identifier, it isn't linked to you or to any other app, and it is gone for good when you delete Homefold.
- No location. Like any connection, sending the events carries your network address, but Homefold asks for it not to be used to work out where you are.
- The events are held by PostHog for us, on servers in the European Union. Only we use them. They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you.
- Nothing is recorded. There is no screen recording and no session replay.
You can switch it off under Settings, Play stats. When it's off, nothing is sent and the game works exactly the same.
What Homefold does not do
- No advertising, ever.
- No advertising identifier, no App Tracking Transparency request, and no tracking as Apple defines it.
- No name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location are asked for or collected.
- Homefold never turns on the microphone or the camera.
- Nothing is sold to anybody.
Your rights
Deleting the app removes your progress and settings from the phone, and we hold no copy of them. The Play stats switch stops the counting. If you would like the events already sent from your phone removed, write to the address below and tell us roughly when you installed Homefold. We will delete what we can find.
Children
Homefold suits all ages. It asks no one for personal details, children included, and the play stats above are the same for everyone.
If this changes
If what Homefold sends ever changes, this page changes before that version ships, along with the date at the top. The App Store privacy labels and the app's privacy manifest change the same day.
